Event Recap: Shooting Indonesia with Creative Lomography Cameras

In the latest Lomography Indonesia Lomowalk we invited photographers in Bandung to experience the experimental side of Lomography. These fun film cameras such as the Fisheye No.2, ActionSampler, Sprocket Rocket, Diana Mini and La Sardina were the perfect tools for experimental snapshots. As well as using these cameras, the participants also had the chance to sample our LomoChrome Film range – LomoChrome Turquoise ISO 100–400, LomoChrome Metropolis ISO 100–400, LomoChrome Purple Pétillant ISO 100–400 and LomoChrome Color '92 ISO 400.

On Saturday, 6 July 2024, we gathered at around 9 in the morning and once all the participants had arrived, we immediately hit the street of Bandung! Luckily for us we were welcomed by a refreshing sunny morning – the perfect weather for a Lomowalk!

The route of this Lomowalk started at the parking area of Masjid Al-Istiqamah at 9:00am. We went through the streets of Bandung which are surrounded by trees. Then the participants walked through many landmarks of Bandung including Gedung Sate, Museum of Pos Indonesia and Gasibu Field, and all participants experimented with their cameras, capturing fun moments with them!

At the end of the walk, we continued through the streets of Jalan Riau, Bandung's downtown, and found many great spots to shoot. Let's see the highlights from some of the participants and get their thoughts on the event!

"The Lomowalk was exciting! Try out the ActionSampler camera that captures 4 consecutive photos. It's perfect for morning walks and capturing moving subjects. It was a challenge because I've never tried it before, but I still like the result. The LomoChrome Turquoise film was very suitable yesterday for capturing the color of leaves and trees against the background of the sky, so it was unique. And it was also fun to meet new friends who like to take photos. I got a lot of information and photo tips from them.
