Hi Amp! Please tell us about your experience using LomoChrome Color ‘92 Sun-kissed in Japan?
It was fun. I tried to stop myself pressing the shutter too often because on this trip I went to many places, so I didn't want all of the photos to be in the same area. This time I loaded this film into a compact camera for convenience.
You've also tested our original LomoChrome Color '92 film. How do you think this Sun-kissed version is different?
I think the previous emulsion has a more bluish tint than this one, which depends on what people like. For this one, the blue color seems decreased a lot, making the red color stand out even more. Personally, I really like this emulsion because it looks vintage and cool. I think I'll buy it again and keep it for traveling. When taken indoors, it still has a bluish tint, but it looks more sedate and deeper than the old version.
Tell us about the photos you took on this trip!
I started taking photos on the departing plane. I reserved a seat by the window because I calculated that the sun would definitely set on my side. I got a picture of the sun setting outside the airplane window, though the photo may be a little dark.

The next day, I went to pick strawberries at a farm. I also took a photo that came out with a very beautiful red color.

I rode the bus and shot this photo while the bus was moving.

I went up to the view point in a building, and I met a Japanese person who came to play the piano. It was in the evening and the mood was very good.

I stopped by Kyoto to see the atmosphere of the old city. Then I finished by walking across the river by jumping on these rocks.

Which place that you visited would you most recommend to Lomographers who are traveling to Japan?
For this trip, I went to Osaka, but I would recommend going to Kyoto, as it is only half an hour from Osaka. On a nice sunny day, Kyoto is a photography paradise, with both new and old cultures coming together in the city. There are beautiful houses, both new and old, a large river with people walking and doing activities on both sides, and many beautiful big temples. There's no need to go to famous places in this city because everywhere is really beautiful and charming, every inch of it.
Do you have a favorite shot taken with this film?
I like the photo of my girlfriend that I took. This photo is overlapped with the previous airplane photo. I think it's happened like this because of the camera's advanced system that make the photo overlaps, but I really like it. I like the imperfect things that happen with film cameras. In other photos I intend to take, I already know what they will look like from looking through the viewfinder, but photos that result from an accident like this are often surprising.

What advice would you give to others shooting with the LomoChrome Color ‘92 Sun-kissed ?
Try looking for prominent red objects and finding a place with good light; you'll definitely get good photos. Most importantly, don't stick to any rules and have fun taking photos. Try something new, and don't be afraid that the photos will not be good. Sometimes mistakes may cause unexpected photos.
Do you have any upcoming projects you can tell us about?
During this period, there are launches of new camera models from many brands, both film cameras and digital cameras. I was one of many people who had the honor of being able to test and experience these cameras before they were actually launched. After that, there will be various activities, including workshops and photowalks. Please follow me on Facebook for the most updated information.
