Hello, welcome to Lomography Magazine! Please introduce yourself to our readers.
Nice to meet you. I am Manager Kim, and I enjoy outdoor activities and often take photos.
When did you start camping and taking photos?
About two years ago I found an old DSLR covered in dust at an acquaintances' office. Borrowing and using that camera for a while sparked my interest. A month or two later, I bought the mirrorless camera I currently use, and that's when I started taking photos. In August, it will be exactly two years.
I first experienced camping during my middle school years as a Boy Scout. I have fond memories of carrying a tent bag taller than me with my friends and heading off into the mountains and fields for camping.
We are curious about the camping trip you took while conducting this test shoot! Please share your experience as both a camper and a photographer.
On the first day of my camping trip, I mounted the Nour Triplet Art Lens on my camera for the first time. I found the design fascinating, with a lever that controls three types of bokeh in addition to the aperture and focus rings.
For the test shoot, I went camping at the sea, forest, and river, each with distinct personalities and charms. At the beach, I captured a bit of wildness; in the forest, a refreshing and leisurely atmosphere; by the river, the tranquility of a gently brightening dawn. I also took time to capture the various landscapes encountered while traveling between these locations, showcasing the diverse attractions that camping can offer.
Shooting outdoors involves significant variables like the weather and constantly changing environments. Unfortunately, during the two weeks I used the art lens over the weekends, the weather didn’t cooperate. There were moments that couldn't fulfill my standard in capturing great photos, but there were also some positive moments because of the weather. It was my first experience using a manual focus lens, and I had a meaningful time exploring this unique lens with its captivating bokeh.
Have you tried using the bokeh of the Nour Triplet Art Lens? Which bokeh do you think fits best with camping?
It depends on the camping scene, but personally, I found the bubble bokeh the most impressive. If you shoot with various camping lights or the evening sunlight streaming through the green leaves as the background, it can create impressive scenes.
Which photo is your favorite?

It's the photo of my wife pretending to read a book leisurely while sitting in a hammock in the refreshing forest!
Can you describe the harmony between the Nour Triplet Art Lens and camping in one word?
Unplugged.
What is the unique charm of camping for you?
I believe camping has the potential to always bring new experiences. You can encounter new places, new foods, new methods, new people, new animals, new plants, and new weather whenever you want. Furthermore, it offers time and space to reinterpret existing objects, methods, and rules that may no longer feel new, allowing you to enjoy them in fresh ways.
Camping is relatively inconvenient, but finding ways to solve those inconveniences in your own way or accepting and enjoying them as they are is one of the great charms of camping. Whenever possible, I try to do this in new places and with new methods each time.
Food is essential for camping! Can you recommend a dish that can showcase the features of the Nour Triplet Art Lens?
I recommend skewers cooked over charcoal. During the cooking process, the sparks that occasionally pop up from the fire and the rising blue smoke can be beautifully captured in the unique bokeh style of the art lens.
Where do you think is the most suitable outdoor location for the Nour Triplet Art Lens?
The forest. I believe the three types of bokeh will create a wonderful background that is different from typical out-of-focus shots.
Do you have any plans for the future or any final thoughts you'd like to share?
For this test shoot, I baked bread from scratch for the first time. I had seen overseas campers wrapping dough around skewers and roasting it over a campfire on YouTube a long time ago, and it looked so good. In the end, it was both delicious and fun. For the foreseeable future, I plan to have camping trips filled with new types of bread. Thank you for choosing me among many campers to experience this unique lens.
