First Impressions of the LomoChrome Color '92 Sun-kissed 35 mm Film by Charlotte Rea
5Charlotte Rea is a professional photographer based between London and New York. She has worked with Vogue, Milk and Kodak and was one of the first people to test out our Berlin Kino 35 mm film. This time we asked her to test out the new LomoChrome Color '92 Sun-Kissed 35 mm film and she headed out to the streets of London to create some striking portraits. We talked to Charlotte about the results.
Hi Charlotte, please tell us about the concept for this shoot. What and where did you decide to photograph?
I was shooting in the early spring in London which is typically a fairly grey time, so I built the shoot around seeking whatever pops of color were to be found. In this case, that looked like iconic red phone booths, new flowers and trees beginning to re-emerge, and glimpses of sun whenever it was out.
What were your first impressions when you saw the results?
I liked how, though the overall tone was understated and cool, the bright flashes of color I tried to highlight clearly stood out. Mission was accomplished there.
How would you describe the look of the new LomoChrome Color ‘92 Sun-kissed?
Subtly retro. Stylized, while accessible and practical.
