First Impressions of the LomoChrome Color '92 Sun-kissed 35 mm Film by Muhammad Fajar Hidayat

We recently sent a roll of our new LomoChrome Color ‘92 Sun-kissed to Bandung-based street photographer Muhammad Fajar Hidayat. Let's take a look at his results using this film and read about his first impressions!

Hi and welcome to Lomography Magazine! Please tell us a bit about yourself and what you do.

My name is Fajar, I currently live in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. I’m a father and own a film lab.

Tell us about the concept for this shoot. What and where did you decide to photograph?

I’m documenting my daily life and surroundings, from accompanying my wife to the market, buying food in the neighborhood and strolling around the city with my bike.

What were your first impressions when you saw the results?

Surprise! I had never seen this color and mood!

How would you describe the look of the new LomoChrome Color ‘92 Sun-kissed ?

The muted colors give a nostalgic feeling, something to remember about when I take the picture.

What do you think is the ideal situation for shooting the LomoChrome Color ‘92 Sun-kissed?

A warm and sunny day with a lot of available light.

Do you have a favorite shot taken with this film?

My daughter standing with silly face on the street. In the background, two umbrellas symbolizing our togetherness.

Did you face any challenges during this shoot?

Not really, just a little bit with the no flash situation inside the market.

In your opinion, what makes a great photo?

The photo with a story or two. Something that relates to yourself.

This film is crafted to capture the magic glow of golden-hour. How would you spend a perfect summer evening?

Biking at the beach or camping with my family!

What one song would you choose to accompany a photo shoot with the LomoChrome Color ‘92 Sun-kissed?

A classic rock song – 20th century boys, by T.rex

What advice would you give to others shooting with the LomoChrome Color ‘92 Sun-kissed?

Just play with it and have fun!
