Back to the Sunny Days! First Impressions of the LomoChrome Color '92 Sun-kissed 35 mm Film by 9irls

Following the launch of LomoChrome Color '92 Color Negative film in 2023, Lomography is excited to announce our new LomoChrome Color '92 Sun-kissed edition, bringing you the nostalgic atmosphere of the '90s with warm tones. We invited our amigo 9irls to try out the new film. She's a graduate student in journalism and communications, and shooting film is a big part of her daily life. She took the rolls of our new LomoChrome Color '92 Sun-kissed to record her weekend with friends. Let's take a look at what she captured!

Hi 9irls, welcome back! What have you been up to lately?

Recently, I came to Beijing for an internship, and I love to explore the city with my camera in my spare time. Whether it’s winter or spring, the sunlight here is super abundant, just walking around in the sun makes me very happy.

Tell us about the concept for this shoot. Do you have a favorite shot taken with this film?

I used this film to document my weekend activities with friends. We strolled in the park, walked around, and took photos with various flowers. My favorite shot captures a moment when the wind picked up just as I clicked the shutter.

What were your first impressions when you saw the results?

Back to the sunny days!

What do you think is the ideal situation for shooting the LomoChrome Color ‘92 Sun-kissed ?

1. Near noon when the light is abundant.
2. Just before sunset, when the sunlight becomes soft and doesn’t glare on faces, around 5-6 pm Beijing time.

Did you face any challenges during this shoot?

Because it was a film I had never tried before I was quite nervous throughout the entire roll.

In your opinion, what makes a great photo?

A great photo is one that can evoke the same feelings I had when I pressed the shutter.

This film is crafted to capture the magic glow of golden-hour. How would you spend a perfect summer evening?

With chilled watermelon and freshly bought flowers, riding a bike, feeling the warm breeze of summer on the way home.

What one song would you choose to accompany a photo shoot with the LomoChrome Color ‘92 Sun-kissed?

A happy tune – 5 Years Time (Sun Sun Sun) by Noah and the Whale.

What advice would you give to others shooting with the LomoChrome Color ‘92 Sun-kissed?

Seize the good weather, grab your camera and film! "Don’t think, just shoot!"
