Spanish photographer Carla Dief is back in our Online Magazine with some previously unreleased photos taken with our Color Negative 800 film. Let's take a look at her results and hear about her impressions!
Hey Carla, welcome back! How has life been treating you since our last interview?
It's been a while since our last interview! My life is going amazing! I just got married and went on my honeymoon. And now I'm back starting new projects.
Where these photos were shot?
These shots were taken in Thailand! In Bangkok and Chiang Mai.
Why did you choose this country for your trip?
I chose Thailand as a destination because I really wanted to visit it and my honeymoon was the perfect time to do it!
Can you share with us the places you visited?
I was in two different cities: Bangkok and Chiang Mai. Also we visited Chiang Rai. It's near Chiang Mai but we only visited three temples there.
Which place was the most memorable and will stay forever in your heart?
If I could choose one place, I would choose Chiang Mai. It's a lovely place, a beautiful and kind city.
What traditions or customs impressed you the most of this country?
I'm impressed by the kindness of the local people, the beautiful temples and traditional suit named Chut Thai. The Chut Thai are amazing.
What camera is a must in your bag when you travel?
My Minolta X-700 camera with the Minolta Rokkor MD 50 mm 1.4 is my favourite combo! Also my point-and-shoot Canon Prima Super 105.
Was it your first time using our Color Negative 800 film?
It's not the first time I've used it. This film is one of my favorites and I try to use it as much as possible because of the amazing vibrant colors.
How was your experience with it and what characteristic did you like the most?
My favorite feature of this film is the saturated colors, I love them. And of course, the 800 ISO brings me the freedom to shoot it in every light condition.
Do you have any plans for your next trip?
Yeah! In July I will make a short trip and I already have some plans. But this year I have to work a lot because I want to do two big trips next year.
