Home film scanning has become very popular over the last few years, which is why Lomography launched the DigitaLIZA+ and DigitaLIZA Max . This is an easy and convenient way to scan 120, 35 mm , 127 and panoramic negatives using your smartphone or digital camera. We put our exciting new release to the test and sent Hong Kong YouTuber Scofield Chan a DigitaLIZA Max to try out on his selection of film formats.
What equipment did you use with DigitaLIZA Max for film scanning?
iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 13 Mini.
Can you share your experience when using DigitaLIZA Max?
This mini film scanner is very easy to use! You only need a smartphone when scanning. Magnet design is added in the film holder and base plate, which makes them very stable. This film scanner also includes a piece of thoughtful equipment, which is a removable spirit level. I can make sure my films are scanned on a flat surface. For the body of the scanner, it's made out of metal and strong plastic materials, which means the structure is fairly resistant.
How do you feel about this film scanner?
I think it is a very meaningful thing to scan films by myself! It allows me to involve in the whole film shooting process.
During the scanning, I can look back to past memories with family and friends. And I can also photograph the past memories again with my smartphone. Sometimes you will discover unexpected findings!
Scofield's scanning result after using DigitaLIZA Max:
