A Visit to Mystic Nature—Photos by @mell0nc0llie
3 9 Share TweetLomographer @mell0nc0llie interprets the scenes in her daily life through her creative use of blurs, silhouettes, and light. Nature is a recurring theme in most of her photographs, as the main subject or as a magical backdrop for her double exposures.
In Mystic Nature, a series of photographs that she took using the LomoChrome Purple, the atmosphere evokes a hazy, dream-like version of a world that we're already familiar with. Photogenic scenes such as mountain ranges in the horizon and bodies of water reflecting the winter sky are fairly common subjects. But through @mell0nc0llie's imaginative use of a color-shifting film (and in some photos, a Canon EOS 600 paired with the Daguerreotype Achromat Art Lens) she has created these hypnotic visuals that probably only exist in a fantasy world.
Minty greens and icy purple-pinks work well together in such a dreamy concept. Just by looking at these photos, we are given a momentary escape from the mundane. Should you wish to re-imagine your world, do it with a LomoChrome film like @mell0nc0llie did!
