Canadian Lomographer Deniz Berkin a.k.a. mrlostsoul takes his time to create thoughtful and nostalgia-provoking photographs. His body of work revolves in using and working with various analogue mediums to see how far he can take the film aesthetic. On one occassion, the photographer got to test the Lomo'Instant Automat and Diana Instant Square, resulting in some colorful and dreamy collages.
Deniz's series tackles various subjects that can be taken from his apartment. Whether subjects seen from the urban space and nature, the idea was to discover interesting patterns and colors around him. With the photos creatively organized, each shot becomes a single part of a compositional study of a subject.
The abstract shots are multiple exposures of various objects like leaves, fire hydrants and statues, taken with the Lomo'Instant Automat and Diana Instant Square. The landscapes are shots of farms, buildings, and cemeteries.
