Raymond Chin: Analogue Portrait With New Petzval 80.5 MM F/1.9 MkII Art Lens
1 11 Share TweetOur beloved Lomographer Raymond Chin tested the newest Petzval 80.5 mm f/1.9 MKII Art Lens, pairing with cross-processed Fujifilm T64, and Fujifilm Pro 400H for two sets of portraits.
Raymond notes that the New Petzval 80.5mm f/1.9 MKII is suitable for close-up portraits. When we asked him about his initial thoughts about the lens, Raymond had this to say:
"The refined optical design creates a sharper image, also the swirly bokeh is smoother and more natural."
Raymond worked on two portrait sets, attempting to create a blurry background and foreground, further isolating his subject. And the results were indeed enchanting!
His next project with the New Petzval 80.5mm f/1.9 MKII would be more experimental: " I am imagining some multiple exposures and some super close-up portraits." We can't wait to see the results!
Thank you, Raymond! Please visit his Instagram to see more of his awesome analogue work!
