Get to know our featured Community newcomer from Istanbul, Turkey!
Please tell us something about yourself and what you do.
Born in Kahramanmaraş, Turkey in 1993. Living and working in İstanbul as a visual artist and director of photography. Since 2009, I’m shooting photos, usually on fashion. I’ve studied Communication Design at İstanbul Kültür University, Art and Design Faculty and graduated in 2018. I had been granted several awards including “Best Cinematography” during the International SEECS Short Film Festival in 2017.
How did you find the Community and who/what convinced you to join?
I found the Community via İnternet.
As you have read the 10 Golden Rules of Lomography, what rule do you apply in your everyday life?
Except the rules 6,8,9,10, I can tell you that I apply all the other rules in my daily life.
In this digital age, why still film?
Because I love it!
Your favorite analog camera as of the moment? Why?
Pentax 67 is my favorite one because it has depth of field in all lenses and has a special film texture which is awesome for me.
What is the Lomography camera you’d want to have someday?
Maybe the Belair 6 x 12. And just because, to use the lens Petzval 58mm f/1.9.
Any song, book, or movie you live by?
None, maybe some. There isn’t an exact one.
