Singaporean Lomographer Wenlin, going by the LomoHome @scrabbyknees, hasn't been active for a while but her photos boast a timeless quality. She had a quick chat with us about this and her favorite Lomography films.

How did you become a Lomographer?

I found out about Lomography through Lomotion, a local forum set up by Jimmy Phua, a veteran lomographer in Singapore. Urban Outfitters was the only Online store I knew of that carried Lomography cameras & shipped to Singapore at the time. I was browsing through their store and found out that they have cameras and film, and is a photography buff, I was excited. The first Lomography camera that I ordered was the Fisheye. It’s so convenient now that Lomography ships directly to Singapore and other Asian countries.

How was it using the Lomography films? Which ones are your favorite?

My current favourites include:

The Lomography Redscale XR 50-200: Gives an amazingly dreamy effect, like the images are from a bygone era.

The Lomography XPRO Chrome 100: Hands down my favourite Lomography film that I’d used to date. The colours are just so incredibly beautiful!

I haven’t had the opportunity to use the LomoChrome Purple, but seeing the images from other Lomographers, they look so surreal; I’d be stoked to try it if there’s an opportunity to!

Any tips about using your fave Lomography film?

For The Lomography Redscale XR 50-200, go for the 50 exposure for a nice soft look with warm tones.

Anything you want to say to Lomographers out there?

Keep shooting and remember to have fun!
