The American director is perhaps one of the most referenced and most looked up to among contemporary filmmakers, but how did Kubrick himself get to become the auteur that he is remembered today?

Perhaps lesser known is Kubrick's early love for photography. It was the photographic camera that began it all. The young Kubrick journeyed around New York, in which the images were meant for Look Magazine. Art and film vlogger CinemaTyler tries to recreate his photoographs by retracing his steps, learning the photographic techniques Kubrick got that would help him become the legendary filmmaker.
