Vintage Interiors: 70's College Dormitories

2018-01-03 2

The 1970's was revolutionary in the sense that the youth have been empowered when it came to having their own voices and individuality, plus the freedom to express themselves. Enter the caves of these outspoken youth in their university lives.

Play "I Spy". Among college-goers favorites were going co-ed, a hot topic among them. You'll also be seeing a lot of Peanuts posters -- hippy peace Snoopy posters -- who would have thought they were must-haves among young women?

A trending interior decorating technique was to cut out magazine clippings and pictures and just paste them on the wall. Then a few candles here and there.. to mask out the scent of marijuana, most likely.

Another is that each dorm room won't ever be complete without their own turntables. Well, music made their worlds go round -- now put back that Mama's & Papa's "If You Can Believe Your Eyes and Ears"!
