Hello! Welcome to the Lomography Magazine. Please introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Eleonora Sabet; I’m a young photographer from Milan, Italy. In the last years, my passion for photography has become my work. My goal is to convey emotions through my photographs, and especially with my self-portraits. I enjoy colors that can be found in photo films, and I try to replicate them in my digital work.
How did your interest in photography start?
My interest in photography started when my grandmother surprised me with a camera. I then started to take some self-portraits, and I fell in love with them.
I could finally express what I felt through a photograph.
How would you define photography? What makes it worth pursuing?
In my opinion, photography is an instrument for something bigger than mere pictures.
What inspires you?
It might sound cheesy, but I’m inspired by love found in every little gesture. At the same time, I can be inspired by other artworks (a movie, a painting…) and
their aesthetic point of view.
What makes a good photograph?
I believe that if a photograph makes you feel something, then it’s okay.
Any advice that you’d like to give aspiring photographers?
The only advice I would give is to practice incessantly, but at the same time, it is essential to know yourself as much as possible to be able to convey real emotions.
