The Lomographic movement strengthens in Zurich as Switzerland unveiled its very first LomoWall, with Daniel Zihlman, the first Lomographic Ambassador of Switzerland, grace the 25th-anniversary event.
The ties between Lomography and the Swiss art scene dates back to April 1, 1996, when Daniel introduced Swiss photographers and enthusiasts Lomography. The demand for the
Russian compact cameras exploded in Zurich, and thus the creation of the Lomographic Embassy in Switzerland, accompanied by a huge event at the Winterthur Kulturhaus Loge.
History continues to be written as Switzerland erected the first LomoWall ever at the Photobastei on November 9, running through November 26. The comprehensive event was co-organized by Light + Byte, one of the leading Swiss providers for professional photo, video and digital products.
The vernissage had Daniel as guest to talk about the Lomographic movement and its history with Switzerland, and this time was accompanied with good tunes from Lomo-DJ Punky (Markus Kenner) and some Lomo parties.
