The 25th anniversary of Lomography is not just about celebrating the past, but also the present and future. For this little cafe in Larnaca, there's nothing more regal than to represent and create the LomoWall for Cyprus.
Film and coffee, anyone?
If writers like Ernest Hemingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald and T.S. Eliot found literary haven in "La Rotonde", Three Sitting Birds is the Lomographers' paradise.
The Three Sitting Birds is the love project of Irene Stylianou, Lomography's authorized dealer in Cyprus. The cafe does not only serve food and coffee, but also Lomographic gear, and fruitful conversations for artists and photographers.
What makes the mosaic here in Larnaca different among others is the subtlety and atmosphere of the installation. Although not as colossal as other LomoWalls across the world, The LomoWall in Cyprus represents the shared goals of Lomography and The Three Sitting Birds' philosophy of analogue grind. Designer Tina Samara also helped out in setting the creative ambiance of the project.
