Self-Healing Through Photography


They say art destroys lives, just the way Vincent Van Gogh met his demise. It's a stereotype that creativity happens at the expense of our sanity. It is the other way around. Art saves lives, and photography has saved much more in the modern world.

Jim Mortam had a past of battling anxiety and depression before he got into photography. Communicating thoughts and feelings have not been easy especially for someone emotionally unwell. Hence, to deliver his feelings and purge it all out, he resorted to the camera. He loaned one and found himself back in the community.
