While we love the singular works of renowned New York photographers such as Vivian Maier and Berenice Abbott, the most compelling ones can be found in the vernacular. The untrained eyes are the most raw.
Here are some found images by collector Christopher Jordan. The photographs seemed to be taken during a day trip. There's not much known if this was from a group of tourists staying in a Manhattan hotel, or a family of Manhattanites exploring the iconic sites of their city. But New York has always been New York, the city of majestic urban jungles, the melting pot of the world, where rich meets the poor, the insider meets the outsider, and where labels are blurred.
