What: A huge Lomowall to celebrate 25 years of Lomography
To celebrate the 25 year anniversary of Lomography we will be building a series of hundreds of Lomowalls made by community members and organizations from all over the world. Here in the UK, we are building an 8.5-meter long Lomowall on Ganton Street, just off of Carnaby st and round the corner from the Lomography Gallery Soho Store. The Ganton St LomoWall is made up of thousands of pictures taken by creatives and community members from all over the world. We have a selection of snapshots from the UK, Azerbaijan, Iraq, German, Philippines, and Portugal, bringing together different cultures in one colorful symbol of global unity.
Join us for the launch night of this fabulous photography installation on November 9th from 6 pm which is part of the Carnby St Shopping party where the Christmas lights will be turned on. There will also be a VW camper van bar next to the Lomowall so you can grab a drink. The Wall will run until December 9th, during this time you can enter our competition to win a Diana F+. Simply take a picture in front of the wall and share on social media with the hashtag #LomoCarnaby. The winner will be announced on December 10th.
Lomography would like to thank Shaftesbury and Carnaby St for supporting the build of this wall. For more events around Carnaby St visit this website www.carnaby.co.uk
