GOOD and Lomography Present the

2010-06-29 22

Submit your photos for a chance to have your image published in an upcoming issue of GOOD as well as taking home some great Lomographic prizes!

Listen up, Lomoboys and girls! Lomography and GOOD are teaming up to present a competition of righteous proportions. GOOD is for people who give a damn. It’s all about living right, being socially aware and doing good, so we want you to capture the do-gooders of the world.

Snap your analogue heart out and take photos of a stranger handing over canned goods at a food drive, your mates working in an urban garden, wildlife taking over the urban landscape, a pretty girl helping an elderly citizen across the road or of anything that benefits others and the world alike! This one’s all about reflecting the world’s selfless inhabitants, and doing good yourself.

A Salute to the Masters: Bare Soles in Como (A Tribute to Christopher Anderson)

The young artist and Magnum photographer Christopher Anderson published on his agency's website an awesome photo series, one of the images in it a great symbol of freedom, joy of living outdoors, purity, innocence, candor, and girlhood: the bare sole of a female lifted up, taken at the Central Park in New York. Like many other great Magnum photographers, Anderson explored this interesting body part through photographs. For this tribute, I chose a series of bare feet images I took along the promenade of the lake Como. Take a look!

A Hunt for Curios and Wonderful Patterns

Some photographers have an instinct for the unique. Whereas others aim to fashion the ordinary into a singular picture, these hunters are obsessed with what cannot be found elsewhere. They prize an exclusive scoop on architectural patterns, artisan quirks, and objects that stick out of an everyday scene. And when the photographers find them, they will twist and turn to get the most flattering angle. Only right for curiosities that beg to be shared.
