Trends & Relics from 1992 to Yonder: Clueless

The '90s was a memorable, incredible decade. Apart from the founding of Lomography and the community, there were other fads and pop culture icons that made noise, forever etching in the minds of many. Twenty-five years later, we still make memes out of "Clueless".

Released in 1995, Clueless was a film of random sorts -- a teen, coming-of-age, romantic-comedy satire, parodying Jane Austen's 1815 novel "Emma", but set in modern-day Beverly Hills. Clueless made fun out of the high-society, valley girl stereotype in 90's L.A. culture through shown moments of American capitalism and materialism, even earning a rating of 3.5/4 stars from one of the most esteemed film critics, Roger Ebert.

And it was where fresh, iconic faces were seen -- that of Alicia Silverstone, Paul Rudd, and Brittany Murphy. Today, the film is considered as a pop-culture classic, a hallmark of 90's fashion (never forget those checkers, twees, and the Alaïa dress!) and a meme-goldmine.
