A Closer Look at Edward Weston

2017-08-20

Edward Weston was known as the 20th-century photographer everyman. Considered as one of the most innovative and influential American photographers of all time, Weston's 40-year career branched out to different genres -- from landscapes, still life, nudes portraits, even experimental absurdist parodies. Chicago-born yet California-based, the photographer was deemed to 'develop a quintessentially American approach to modern photography', since he focused more on the people and places of the American West. He is known to be a champion of photographic details.

Photographer and vlogger Marc Silber visits the grandson of the master photographer Edward Weston and explores his former home, one that reeks of the personal and photographic history of the renowned member of Group f/64.
