To celebrate our 25th anniversary, we are honoring 25 of the most iconic Lomographers in the community. Today, we turn the spotlight to Graziella Ines, @grazie who has been part of the community since 2010. In this brief interview, she talks about how Lomography enabled her to meet fellow film shooters and encouraged her to stay creative.
Name: Graziella Ines
Year when you joined Lomography: 2010
What keeps you busy now: Photography still keeps me busy most of the time aside from my 8-5 job and some crafting on the side.
Let's do a backtrack: How did you discover Lomography?
I saw a cross processed photo in one of the blogs I followed back then and got really interested in how it looked so I researched it and it all led me to the Lomography website. I started an account right after.
What was your first Lomography camera?
A Diana Mini.
What's your fondest Lomography moment?
There were a lot of great Lomography moments but the ones I truly treasure are the times I got to meet up with my friends from the Lomo community. Meeting like-minded people who share the same passion is always fun. The Doubles and Triples projects were also very memorable.
Could you share some of your earliest Lomography shots (maximum of 3 photos)?
Who were your Lomography friends back then?
So many of them! I'm afraid I will miss someone if I start enumerating. A lot of them have become great friends who I still see and talk to regularly. It also seems that every place I travel to, I always meet up with a friend from Lomo. The thing I am most thankful for Lomography is the friendships I've made. They're the best!
What advice would you give newcomers (to the Lomography community)?
Enjoy the experience! Shoot a lot, be creative, and just have fun! If you find out that you are truly passionate about photography, being a part and taking part in this community is a great experience.
What does Lomography mean to you?
Lomography means a lot to me because without it, I might not have discovered that I have a passion for photography, that I can be creative with a camera. The experience and the education I have gained from Lomography is priceless.
