The 1997 film "Lost Highway" by David Lynch was met with lukewarm reception, but we can all agree -- critics and fans alike -- that this is a stunning piece of work with film noir elements. Like all of an auteur's works, cult following ensues, and "Lost Highway" certainly has one for itself.

The film follows a man convicted of murdering his wife after he morphs into a mechanic to lead a new life; sight and distance prove very important and crucial in this film, as many of Lynch's close-up shots are voyeuristic, immersive, and very personal to amplify the suspense.
