The year 1992, the year Lomography came to be, was special. Apart from the birth of the rogue Lomographic movement, there were many events happening all around. The whole world was all ears when the news of the British royal couple Prince Charles and Princess Diana separated.
Photographers abound as they hound the couple.
No worries though, a lot of people still believe in love as they get hitched. The single ladies and gents of those days were probably strutting to the song "I'm Too Sexy" by Right Said Fred, which was also released in 1992, even peaked at #1 at some point.
A lot of openings and beginnings also occurred in 1992. The biggest fast-food chain in the world, McDonald's, reached China for the first time, opening their first branch in Beijing. France also gets to taste some Disney magic as Euro Disney opens. Speaking of beginnings, Disney's "Aladdin" was also released.
Year 1992 was "a whole new world" indeed!
