Film Photography Day NYC 2017: Pursuit of Film

This year, the Lomography NYC community celebrated Film Photography Day by joining forces with portraiture collective Pursuit of Portraits to create Pursuit of Film, a film-only styled shootout which drew nearly 250 photographers to create analog-based masterpieces on Saturday, April 8. Our favorite photographs from the day are currently being featured in an exhibition at the Lomography Gallery Store in Greenwich Village through May 4.

We will also soon announce which photographs are winners of amazing prizes from Lomography, but for now, we just couldn't wait to share the photos from our favorite day of the whole year. We hope you enjoy this selection of work from some of the talented shooters who attended the Pursuit of Film.

The crew started at Brooklyn Brigade for an exclusive shoot in the studio, which made a perfect opportunity to test the Lomo'Instant Automat Glass. This was the best case scenario for instant gratification on set, as there were no digital cameras allowed in honor of the occasion.

Special thanks to the everyone who made the event a success!
