Happy Accidents is a London band formed by Phoebe Cross and brothers Rich and Neil Mandell. Since their debut album was released in 2016 they have been featured in Kerrang! & Rock Sound Magazine. We gave them a Fisheye 2, which they tested out on their European tour.
Hi, could you tell us a bit about yourself?
We're a band called Happy Accidents from London. We play music that sort of sounds like pop, sort of sounds like indie; and sort of sounds like punk. We put out an album on Alcopop! Records last year and have been playing shows and being nice ever since.
What inspires you all to write music?
I've been thinking about this a lot and I don't really know the answer. I think I just want to make stuff that gets us excited. It's a nice outlet for feelings too.
How did you get on shooting with the Fisheye 2?
We had a nice time shooting with the Fisheye 2! We took it on a tour we did round Europe with the bands Doe and Personal Best. We're not really photographers but just wanted to play around with something cool. We're really into the results so I'd say it was successful.
What did you choose to shoot?
We only really chose to shoot up close pictures of our friends faces in dark venues. The flash is so bright, great for blinding the ones you love.
What’s coming up in the future?
We're playing loads of festivals over the summer and have some things under our sleeve that we can't talk about yet! It's all very exciting though.
