Melody is translated to pictures in Bamberg Symphony, a collaboration between the lyricist Nora Gomringer and documentary photographer Andreas Herzau as they experiment with such arrangement.
Taken in their German hometown Bamberg, the Herzau captures and observes the scenery from daily routine of orchestra performance, whilst Gomringer accompanies the photographs with words. Music no longer is just an auditory element, but a visible, almost tangible, as they celebrate the 70th anniversary of one of the top 10 orchestras in the world.
