The competitive realm of art and fashion photography remains under the influence of contemporary photographer Peter Lindbergh. He redefined standards of feminine beauty by giving more focus to the attitude, spirit and personality of the person to be just as powerful as looks. Lindbergh also puts more emphasis to natural and authentic beauty in midst of a culture obsessed with retouching.
Known for his dramatic and cinematic portraits, figures, setting, he also pushed his provocative portrayal of women, evolving their images from heroines to femmes fatales. In the book Peter Lindbergh. A Different Vision on Fashion Photography is an illusive world of fashion, painted in his elegant signature of black and white.
