A Glance at the World's Largest Collection of Cameras

While digital cameras and smart phones continue to dominate in the photography industry, many still reserve a place for analogue cameras. A real photographer would have at least tried his hands on film at least once or twice in his life.

As for photojournalist Dilish Parekh, every corner of his personal space is dedicated to heaps and heaps of film cameras. Parekh has broken his own record of owning the largest collection of film cameras, presently having 4,500 antique cameras in his collection.

Watch this interview with Parekh as he discusses what it’s like to be a Guinness world record breaker.

A new hero! But I still want to know: Has he shot a roll through each? And what is his primary filmstock these days? What's his favorite camera? Which does he think is the worst, most overrated, most underrated? Does he even USE them? Someone needs to get a grant and make a documentary about this guy and his collection. It'd be a very worthy project.
