For Crank Up the Contrast, we challenged the community to blow up the contrast of their black and white shots. We skip passed the subtle grey tones and smooth transitions. This competition was all about 1 and 0, on and off, black and white. Take a look at the winning photographs.

“The panoramic format proved to be the perfect choice for zhenyaetoya's photo. By generously framing the blazing flame and we can almost feel the vast black emptiness surrounding it. Almost like a riddle wrapped in an enigma, this photo kept us wondering where it was taken and whose face it was behind the piercing flash of light.”
