Fujifilm Announces Discontinuation of Fujicolor Pro 160 NS

Fujifilm made an announcement that they will be discontinuing the production of the Fujicolor PRO 160 NS, and will also stop selling multipacks from the Superia line & the Fujicolor Natura 1600 July 29.

The multipacks set to be discontinued are: FujiFilm Superia 400 27 exp 2 pack, FujiFilm Superia 400 27 exp 5 pack, FujiFilm Superia 400 36 exp 2 pack, FujiFilm Superia 400 36 exp 5 pack, Fuji Film Superia X-TRA 400 24 exp 2 pack, Fuji Film Superia X-TRA 400 24 exp 5 pack, Fuji Film Superia X-TRA 400 36 exp 5 pack, FujiFilm Superia Venus 800 27 exp 3 pack, FujiFilm Superia Venus 800 36 exp 3 pack and FujiFilm Natura 1600 36 exp 3 pack.

While these multipacks will be discontinued by December 2016, they can still be bought in individual rolls.

The Fujicolor 160 NS (8×10) & (4×5) will cease production by August and September 2016, respectively. Here’s a table from the Fujifilm website:

    Eh, Kodak is fine in terms of colour negative for me... While 160 NS was great, Portra is close enough for my taste. However, when they get rid of Velvia 100 in 4x5, I will be most upset!

    I'm interpreting this as only the 160 NS large format (sheet film) is being cut. There's no mention of the 35 or 120 film (inclusing on other websites). Still a shame of course, but it's a little less dramatic that the headline implies.
