Lomography recently collaborated with Tokyobikes and ACE Hotels for their East London bike tour. We lent each participant an LC-A+ and LC-Wide for the journey and our shop manager Lee went along for the ride.
We met at 10am sharp at the ACE Hotel café in Shoreditch and gave the groups a quick rundown on how to use the cameras whilst drinking complimentary coffee and chatting about the good weather (because it’s so rare in the UK.)
Once everyone had got to grips with the camera we took a short walk over to the Tokyo Bike shop where Duncan, the team leader explained a bit about the tour. He explained how we would ride around the old sewage’s and canal paths of East London. After a few bike tests we headed off into the blistering sunshine. The tour was a 25 mile round trip and took us round the back street, canals and leafy parks of London. We stopped occasionally for a breather and to take in some of the stunning views.
The images you can see are a selection taken from all the participants on the trip. Nobody had used these cameras before and we were really impressed with the photos from the day. We enjoyed this so much we’re going to do it all again on August 27th.
