Sapphire Princess Cruise Ship

Need to take a break? Have 7 days of vacation time saved up? Yes? Then let’s go sailing…

I admit, I am a little biased towards cruise ships, I mean I use to work on one about 5 years ago, but hey, they are a great way to spend your vacation. You have the best of both worlds. You can do absolutely nothing or absolutely everything, the choice is yours!

So come onboard the Sapphire Princess with you and me won’t be able to wipe the smile off your face.

We embarked the ship at the Port of Los Angeles, but really it is San Pedro, CA. Once you are onboard you have your picture taken for your cruise card (its for security) and you are off to find your room. As soon as you get to your room you throw your stuff down and head to the top of the ship for a beer (bring your camera too!) As the ship sails away for the port you can wave good-bye to any of your real world problems because now you are on vacation!

Of all the places I can suggest on the ship the pools would probably be first. There 5 on this particular ship and they are a great way to spend the day. Sometimes they even play “pool games” where adults can make complete fools of themselves, it very entertaining. I should also mention the food. There is a seemingly endless supply. If you ever go hungry on a cruise ship there is something seriously wrong happening. This ship has 6 dining rooms, a 24 hour buffet, a pizza bar, a burger bar, and an ice cream stand. They even walk around serving milk and cookies during the afternoon.

I can’t leave out the most important part of the cruise, the ports. This particular cruise was to the Mexican Riviera, so we made stops at Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo San Lucas. These ports are great for relaxing by the beach with a Corona (or any of your favorite Mexican beers). Great food, beautiful beaches, and the ocean, all make these places great stops, but at the end of the day it was always nice to come back to the ship.

After a week onboard this beautiful big ship, relaxing and having fun, it was time to come home and back to the “real world”. We had a great time, and are all ready planning out next trip to the Caribbean.
See you on the high seas!!!
