Masks are a unique and often colorful way to add charm and character to your photos. If you’re a customized photo mask making expert, do share your tips to the rest of the Lomography community.

Lomo Lens Shooting Guide

If you’re the proud owner of a Petzval, Russar+, Minitar1, Experimental Lens Kit, Belairgon, or Diana Glass Lens, we want to hear how you’re able to produce those fantastic photos. Share your Lomo Lens tips and tricks, and those pretty pictures.

Summer Photo Diary

What makes summer special for you? Or, what’s so special about your summer vacation this year? Share your photo diary of this sweltering hot season of the year, and the highs and lows that come with it. Don’t forget to tell us the stories behind the photos you took.

Festival Festivities

We’re pretty sure some of you have been able to attend a few music festivals in the past couple of months. Or maybe you’ve just bought tickets and you’re just about to attend one.

We want to hear all about it. Who was the headliner? How was the crowd? Why was it memorable? We want to see what happened, so please share your festival photos. Show us and tell!

Summertime Playlist

Are you on Spotify? Create a playlist of at least 10 songs that leave an impression of what summer is for you. If you were to drive to the beach, what music would you be listening to? Make a playlist on Spotify and include the embed link or URI when you send us your submission.

Don’t forget to tell us a little about your list and to send us at least one photo — or more photos — that could very well be an album cover or album inlay images for your playlist.

Summer Hot Spots

Even if summer starts only towards the end of the month in some parts of the world, we want to let early sun-worshipers know how excited we all are to learn about where they spend warm summer days, sipping margaritas, riding the waves, or just decked out under the sun. Show us your favorite summer hot spots and tell us why they’re too hot to resist!

Reviews- Cameras and Accessories

Got a camera or new accessory from the Lomography Online Shop, or even a rare analog find from the flea market? If you’ve had time to tinker with that piece of treasure and you think it deserves a review, share a thorough assessment of its form, features, and functions along with several pictures and let the world know what you think!

Likewise, we are accepting reviews of Lomography lenses and accessories used with other cameras.

Do you also have creative ways of showcasing your images, in the form of cinemagraphs, perhaps? Feel free to show how it’s done, and give a step-by-step guide on winging that technique.

Photo Stories

If you’ve taken a stunning and exemplary photo and there’s an interesting tale behind it (i.e. it was taken in some exotic place and you were hiding behind a thick shrub before you captured the image of a tiger), the photo deserves to be seen and the back story deserves to be heard. Share the story on the Lomography Magazine.

Sample article:
Barrel of Death by snoop

If your photo (or photos) doesn’t necessarily have a back story but it has inspired you to come up with an intriguing fictional tale, let your story be read on the Lomography Magazine. It can be flash fiction, a short story, or even poetry. If we feel that your story is too long to publish in one run, we can publish it in parts.
