Since summer is here, festival season has begun, and it’s the Lomo LC-A’s birthday month, we’d like to announce a special set of requested posts especially for June.

My Best LC-A Photos Ever

Happy Birthday, Lomo LC-A! In celebration of the Lomo LC-A’s birthday, we want you to celebrate with us by sharing your 10 best LC-A photos and what makes each of them special. One to three sentences for each photo will do. Oh, and we also accept photos taken with the LC-A’s brothers: the LC-A+, LC-Wide, and LC-A 120

Show Me Your Lumi

Have you tried the Lumi Inkodye® products available on our online shop? Or are you just about to start your fabric printing project? Show us your Lumi designs and share some tips and tricks on how to seamlessly create masterpieces with Lumi.

Summer Photo Diary

What makes summer special for you? Or, what’s so special about your summer vacation this year? Share your photo diary of this sweltering hot season of the year, and the highs and lows that come with it. Don’t forget to tell us the stories behind the photos you took.

Festival Festivities

We’re pretty sure some of you have been able to attend a few music festivals in the past couple of months. Or maybe you’ve just bought tickets and you’re just about to attend one.

We want to hear all about it. Who was the headliner? How was the crowd? Why was it memorable? We want to see what happened, so please share your festival photos. Show us and tell!

Skate to Shoot

Go Skateboarding Day is just around the corner. It’s the perfect time to shoot those skateboarding photos and show them off! Tell us about your favorite skate spots, your skater friends, and how Lomography and strolling on your skateboard go perfectly together.

Summertime Playlist

Are you on Spotify? Create a playlist of at least 10 songs that leave an impression of what summer is for you. If you were to drive to the beach, what music would you be listening to? Make a playlist on Spotify and include the embed link or URI when you send us your submission.

Don’t forget to tell us a little about your list and to send us at least one photo — or more photos — that could very well be an album cover or album inlay images for your playlist.

Here is our list of year-long running requested posts for the Magazine:

Photography and Camera Tips

If you’d like to share some camera know-how or how certain skills and techniques have made you better at taking pictures, the New Lomography Magazine would be the perfect venue to share your knowledge and inspire. The tipster could be camera specific (e.g. Shooting Long Exposures with the Horizon Perfekt) or more general (10 Steps to Taking Better Landscape Photos).

Film, Camera and Photo Experiments

Are you the type who likes to dip your film in some sort of concoction or defy the manual when it comes to using your camera? Do you also have creative ways of showcasing your images, in the form of cinemagraphs, perhaps? Feel free to show how it’s done, and give a step-by-step guide on winging that technique.

Reviews- Cameras and Accessories

Got a camera or new accessory from the Lomography Online Shop, or even a rare analog find from the flea market? If you’ve had time to tinker with that piece of treasure and you think it deserves a review, share a thorough assessment of its form, features, and functions along with several pictures and let the world know what you think!

Likewise, we are accepting reviews of Lomography lenses and accessories used with other cameras.

Photo Stories

If you’ve taken a stunning and exemplary photo and there’s an interesting tale behind it (i.e. it was taken in some exotic place and you were hiding behind a thick shrub before you captured the image of a tiger), the photo deserves to be seen and the back story deserves to be heard. Share the story on the Lomography Magazine.

Sample article:
Barrel of Death by snoop

If your photo (or photos) doesn’t necessarily have a back story but it has inspired you to come up with an intriguing fictional tale, let your story be read on the Lomography Magazine. It can be flash fiction, a short story, or even poetry. If we feel that your story is too long to publish in one run, we can publish it in parts.
