We finally finished all the shooting sessions from the Raiatea Lomographic Schoolproject, and as promised in the previous post, here’s an update of the lomographic production made by the first polynesian generation of lomographers!
After a few delays the Raiatea Lomographic Schoolproject was finalized a few days ago. Here’s the update of how we did proceed and the latest galleries of pictures!
There were 2 groups of 14 students each, sharing 7 lomographic cameras (2x Fisheye n°1, 1x Fisheye n°2, 2x Supersamplers, 1x Colorsplash and 1x Oktomat), and a total amount of 28 films shot, that means that every student could shoot the equivalent of 1 film with the camera and partner of his choice. We had 4 shooting sessions, on wednesday afternoon, twice in the school itself and twice outside in the city of Uturoa. The “couples” could change the camera from one session to another and try to express their creativity as best as they could.
The shooting sessions were really a great time, they all enjoyed it: leaving the classroom and instead of listening and writing down things, having a camera in their hands, free to shoot whatever they wanted and how they wanted, that was something new and different for them. No doubt it was the first time they did something like that and I can say that for me as a teacher it was also a great time to see the students in different conditions and share my lomographic passion with them!
Of course, when the last shooting session was over, they were all a bit sad, but I think that for some of them now it means something different to shoot with such funny analogue toy cameras….
Enough talking, here are the galleries of the best shots I selected from the huge production of pictures made during this project!
See you next year for a new Raiatea Lomographic Schoolproject! :))
