What is Samplomat?

Samplomat is a desktop application designed to cut your LomoKino scans into a movie. It supports common picture formats such as JPG or PNG. The output movies are in MP4 format, which can be played by many players on several platforms and devices. It has a better slicing engine, new video encoder and some UI improvements. It’s free and available for Mac and Windows systems.

1. Launch the Samplomat app.
2. Open your LomoKino movie file, then click “Done” (found at the bottom left of your screen).

3. Click “Export” and adjust the FPS (frame rate per second). This determines how fast or slow you want your LomoKino movie transition to be.

So it crops your lomokino scans and puts it together to a clip automatically, did I understand that the right way?

I have used the lomokino camera in the past but with disappointing results. The cameras keep breaking: the crank, the sprockets, the entire housing cracked. But what about digitizing the films I was finally able to shoot after three cameras. Is your app no longer in existence or supported?? Can it output any other flavor of video other and MP4?? Tiff sequence or DPX?? Overall the results you post on the your website seem pretty cool, but can the average person get those same results??? My local motion picture lab says that the film frame exposed in a lomokino is non standard, NOT 2 PERF, a bit larger perhaps, and there for needs a custom gate to scan. Do you know of any other apps that can do what your app promissed?
