The Art of Shout Boxing

2015-02-04 3

What do we want? Lots of shout outs! When do we want it? NOW! Check out the fine inner workings of our newly improved Shoutbox.

All new Shoutbox

Everybody has a guilty pleasure and here people just love to shout out about their latest uploaded album, flea market finds from last weekend or the smell of fresh emulsion. We loved your shouts so much we have decided to give it a dedicated area..

Never miss a shout

The new version of shout box now auto reloads every 60 seconds, so you’ll never miss a beat. And you can take your discussions with you on the bus, on a train and down the lane because we’ve only gone and bloody optimized it for mobiles and tablets!

A photo says more than a 1000 shouts

The thing we like most about the new shout box is that you can now literally shout the photo you want everybody to see. Just put the photo link into your message and it will appear on the right side.

I’m talking to you

Like in the old shout box, you can simply use a @username to directly address somebody you want to give a shoutout to. This will trigger a notification so they won’t miss out on your message there.

Be nice, don’t spam and have fun

It’s as simple as that. So now go out and start shouting.

Let us know how you feel

We hope you enjoy the new shout box area. If you have any problems, ideas or suggestions you can just drop an email at next@lomography.com, leave a comment or shout @pan_dre.

I like the new system and obviously you guys put some thought into it. However, don't you think it would be nice to have more than 200 characters available? How about 300 or 400? It isn't always easy to get across an idea with the limited amount of space and breaking it up into two separate posts is kind of silly. This isn't Twitter, it's Lomography and you should dare to be different. Just my opinion. ;)
