Lomography is proud to present a LomoWall at Hermitage, the world’s largest and most recognised museum in the world! During the Artnight on 15th of May, the Lomography Embassy Russia welcomes you there.
The State Hermitage Museum, with its main location in St. Petersburg, is one of the most recognised and largest museums in the world. Its collection includes an impressive selection of more than three million works of art and artefacts of the world culture.
During the Art Night (website in Russian), an international project that takes place in 42 countries, you not only have the chance to admire these works, we are proud to announce that Lomography will present a LomoWall – a piece of art made from thousands of pictures taken in and of the Hermitage Museum!
For this project 20 devoted lomographers were chosen from the Lomography Embassy Russia who captured the unique athmosphere of the Hermitage Museum with their Lomo LC-A(+) cameras. The result is a 1.2m high and 15m long LomoWall that will be on display only during the Artnight in the “Staraya Derevnya Restoration and Storage Centre” of Hermitage. The team of the Lomography Embassy Russia welcomes you there on May, 15th, from 6pm to 11pm!
Besides that, the “Photography Section of Youth Educational Centre of the State Hermitage Museum” will exhibit their results of their Lomo LC-A shooting as well.
Here’s a little foretaste of great lomographs that will be shown on the LomoWall:

Lomography NYC had the opportunity to collaborate recently with The Studio Museum of Harlem, New York City. Students of the Expanding the Walls residency helped from start to finish on the building of a LomoWall, which was then debuted at an Uptown Fridays party!
The TEN AND ONE Residency Week has been very intense and full of activities. From 11 to 18 November, we did LomoWalks around Vienna, guided visits to museums and magazine editorial office, a workshop, a trip to Bratislava, worked on our LomoWall and of course LomoLunch and LomoDinner. We had the opportunity to attend a Cyanotype Workshop at Lomography Head Quarter held by Michael Wuermer, a young and nice photographer and printer.
