Puerto Rico's Botanical Garden

Get your blankets and your baskets, we’re going picnic in the garden!

This Botanical Garden in Puerto Rico belongs to the University of Puerto Rico, for it serves primarily as a center for investigation on the tropical flora. It’s served as an investigation center since way back in the 1910’s when it was known as the Agricultural Experimentation Station. Now it provides knowledge to the public since it offers guided tours, workshops, seminars, conferences, and exhibitions on everything green.

It is open to the public every day of the week, and it’s completely free. Me and my friends decided to go on a lovely day and have a picnic in the beautiful garden. We came across wonderful animals, and breath taking vegetation. We threw our yellow blanket on the soft grass, made some sandwiches, ate brownies, and relaxed under the sun with the breeze caressing our skin, as we enjoyed the wonderful masterpiece of nature.

Some days you can see a variety of activities, such as local dance and instrument workshops, and a few tents selling plants, books, and food.

This is definitely a place you have to visit when you come to Puerto Rico, either with a group of friends for picnic, or by yourself for bonding with nature. But most importantly, it’s perfect for snapping away.
