We had received over 2,000 entries for the Lomography x Casetify: #SlayThePortrait Photo Competition and they were all fantastic! It was a tough decision to make but we've finally voted for five winners.
Philadelphia photographer Brian Bruno tested the Lomo'Instant Square and got some amazing results! For one shoot, he collaborated with fellow artist Audrey Kitching. They were kind enough to sit down with us to offer a bit of insight into how they liked our latest and greatest instant creation.
Earlier this year we were chuffed to launch a very memorable type of 35mm film: the Lomography Color Negative F²/400. We had recovered it from the last ever supply of an Italian filmmaker, and stocked it for seven years in special conditions. Much sought after for the film's nostalgic aesthetic, beautiful blue tones, with hints of X-Pro character, the F²/400 35mm rolls flew off our shelves like hotcakes – and rapidly went out of stock worldwide.
We chatted with LA based alternative rock outfit Night Riots after they recently tested the Lomo'Instant Wide. Their photos are moody and atmospheric, just like they describe their musical style, and we were delighted to hear that they share a love for analog magic and happy accidents.
Israel-based musicians Balkan Beat Box are inspired by a variety of styles: klezmer, reggae, and hiphop to name a few. As it turns out, they were also quite inspired while shooting with the Lomo'Instant Wide on tour and share their photos with us here.
