From today until the end of the month, Bob Mazzer’s work, which was recently showcased in London, will be up on exhibit at East Sussex’s Baker Mamonova Gallery.
Hastings-based photographer Bob Mazzer’s “Underground” will be showcased at the Baker Mamanova Gallery in East Sussex from October 17 until 31, 2014 as part of the PhotoHastings, “the new, independent season of photography and related arts in the South East of England, launching in October 2014.” Just last June and July, Mazzer’s photographs of the daily commute via the London underground dating back to the ‘80s were showcased for the first time at London’s Howard Griffin Gallery.
“Every day I traveled to King’s Cross and back,” Mazzer, who used to work as a projectionist in a porn cinema at the time, was quoted as saying. “Coming home late at night, it was like a party and I felt like the tube was mine and I was there to take the pictures.”
