With its new Kickstarter campaign, FILM Ferrania hopes to put up a new factory and kick off a completely new line of film. Lomography is happy to see another strong analogue campaign on Kickstarter and wish them success.
Film is definitely still alive and kicking as proven by the arrival of new analogue products in recent months. *FILM Ferrania*, does its part to bring back Ferrania films to the market starting with 35mm and 120 for still cameras and Super 8 and 16mm for motion cameras.
Recently, FILM Ferrania turned to Kickstarter to seek funding in order to rescue equipment from old Ferrania buildings, to be transferred to a new factory. The company explained that while new operations are already running in the former Ferrania Research and Development building, this can only produce a small amount of film and at a high cost at that. In contrast, the new factory design would allow for the production of more film in the long run.
