Awesome Albums: birthday girl by andrejrusskovskij

The birthday girl finally gets the well-deserved spotlight courtesy of this week’s installment of Awesome Albums!

It’s been a while since *andrejrusskovskij* uploaded his album *birthday girl*, yet we believe his theme is just as fresh as the day it first made its way to the community. The “birthday girl” in these photographs is his girlfriend Isabel, while the ghost town of Doel (with its graffiti-filled walls) in Belgium served as the backdrop. Taken using the *Lubitel 166+* loaded with Fuji T64 Pro, these well-composed, colorful photos show just how much fun the couple had during this spontaneous shoot despite the location’s spooky , “The Walking Dead” vibe!

Do check out the rest of the photographs and the full story behind them here (you might also want to throw in a very belated birthday greeting to Isabel, if you haven’t, too)!

The Awesome Albums series is exactly what it says on the tin — it’s a love letter of sorts from the Editors addressed to user-uploaded albums that had caught their eye and had inadvertently fallen in love with. Please understand though, they’re really just here to express their love and nothing more.
