Awesome Albums: Summerhill to City Centre - NPS 160 xpro by megalithicmatt

2014-08-22 3

One of our fellow creative lomographers took his camera for a spin…quite literally!

It seems like *megalithicmatt* went overboard with the idea of taking his Zeiss Ikon Nettar for a spin when he made his insane album *Summerhill to City Centre - NPS 160 xpro*. Bathing in the vivid colors of Fuji NPS 160, the crazy use multiple exposures turned the Granite City of Aberdeen into a universe of swirling patterns.

The otherworldly quality of these photographs is a bit reminiscent of those imagery of exploding stars and zooming spacecrafts in sci-fi flicks, don’t you agree? You can view more photos from this album here.

The Awesome Albums series is exactly what it says on the tin — it’s a love letter of sorts from the Editors addressed to user-uploaded albums that had caught their eye and had inadvertently fallen in love with. Please understand though, they’re really just here to express their love and nothing more.

    The Infallible Electric Eye

By far the oddest-looking camera I own, the Electric Eye is an auto-exposure viewfinder camera made by Bell & Howell in the late 1950s. I picked one up online and ended up with another one, that came with a very cool, retro looking carrying case, from my grandfather. It took a little while to try these two out but after running some film I found that this camera is a lot of fun to shoot with.
