Awesome Albums: #197 by miket

Creating doubles is a challenge and a bit experimental already in itself, but what do you get when you throw in an expired redscaled slide film, two different city scenes, and the LC-A in the mix? Check out this series by miket and see the results for yourself!

A quick look at the Home of Krefeld, Germany’s *miket* immediately gave us the reason why he named this particular album *#197* – it is, well, the 197th album that he has uploaded on the website! The set of photos, which he also titled as Abstract Doubles Instanbul, were “experimental doubles” taken first at a fun fair in Germany and then at the streets of Istanbul. By redscaling a roll of expired Sensia 400 and shooting it a few stops lower with the LC-A, miket was able to get these one-of-a-kind, saturated shots. We especially like the ones with the bright neon lights!

The Awesome Albums series is exactly what it says on the tin — it’s a love letter of sorts from the Editors addressed to user-uploaded albums that had caught their eye and had inadvertently fallen in love with. Please understand though, they’re really just here to express their love and nothing more.
