An exhibition of lomography photos taken by our community member amapola_sophie all around South America. Full of colour and spirit, they are going to be exposed at a famous library´s bar in Buenos Aires.
“I am, above all, a backpacker. I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. As a South American I feel this beautiful connection with my continent. Maybe it is just the fact that almost all of us speak Spanish (but we understand the Brazilians!). I travelled around with my Holga and my Diana camera. And now I want to share it with everyone: tourists, Argentineans, artists, grandmothers, brothers and sisters. I am doing an expo of my pictures, they are all colourful and full of life. You will see landscapes, animals, city lights, typical houses and plants.”
Our community member amapola_sophie will expose her pictures at a bar of a very big famous library (Libros del Pasaje) in a very trendy neighbourhood in Buenos Aires: Palermo. She loves this place because it is visited daily by lots of local artists (actors, directors, writers, painters) and also by lots of tourists. It is an old colonial house, reformed as a huge library with a cute bar in the middle and a tiny record store.
If you are curious now, have also a look on her art blog: www.starzenski.blogspot.com.
The exhibition starts on 1st of April, opening hours: everyday from 10am-10pm.
